Born in 1956, Gamil Magal is an automotive executive with more than 25 years’ experience from Mechanical Engineering, Project Management to Group CEO of Magal Engineering. In 1987 Gamil was part of the management buyout (MBO) of Coventry Pressworks and managed the operation until 1997, turning around the company from loss making to profit, whilst implementing the Toyota production system making a European showcase company.
He left to join the Adwest Group of companies as Operations Director, leading a turnaround of Rearsby Automotive Ltd implementing quality systems and lean manufacturing. Gamil took over as MD at Adwest Steering in 1998, once again managing change to breakthrough results in quality and profitability. In 2002 Gamil led the MBO of Adwest Engineering, adding a further buyout of Dura Mechanical assemblies in 2003, resulting in the Magal Engineering Group.
Expert in turning around failing companies, Gamil managed to bring Magal Engineering to ‘Best in Class’ status for Achievement, Best SME, Best Financial Performance, Best Innovation and Best Factory awards. Magal Engineering was ranked 84th in The Sunday Times Top 200 companies for the fastest UK company with overseas growth. Now Magal Engineering is a global, first choice and preferred supplier to Ford, JLR, Daimler and Renault. The Group has companies located in the UK, France, India, Turkey and China.
David Woolford was born in 1961 in the UK, and after serving an apprenticeship in Engineering gained his NEBBS and a Diploma in Management Studies.
In 1986 he joined Western Thomson Controls (part of the Adwest Group) as Quality Manager, progressing through roles as Operations Manager, Production Director at Rearsby Automotive Ltd, Managing Director at Western Thomson Controls and Metallifacture. By 2002 David was Managing Director of Dura Automotive (MBO of Adwest Group)
In 2003 there was an MBO of Dura Automotive Limited by David, Gamil Magal and Kevin Lowen, where he became the COO of the newly formed Magal Engineering Limited. David is now responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group, implementing lean methodology throughout all aspects of the businesses, also heading up the Groups Purchasing, IT, Health and Safety and property activities.
David also supports many charitable and social activities in the local community around Reading.
Kevin Lowen was born in 1957 in the U.K. and joined Adwest PLC in 1982 as Financial Accountant. Kevin has worked in several of the group’s companies as Finance Director and became Divisional Finance Director Automotive for Adwest Plc.
In 1999 Adwest was acquired by Dura and he became Business Controller Europe and Finance Director of Dura Automotive Limited.
In 2003 there was an MBO of Dura Automotive by Kevin, Gamil Magal and David Woolford, where he became the CFO of the newly formed Magal Engineering Limited.
Kevin is responsible for all financial aspects of the group and ensures stringent corporate governance and operational controls.

After an early career at Ford of Britain, Mike joined Jaguar in 1974 as the Director of Product and Plant Engineering. In 1977 he was appointed Plant Director of Jaguar, Browns Lane Plant and in 1978 he became Director of Manufacturing at Jaguar. He was appointed Executive Director, Manufacturing and Engineering in 1999, then Managing Director Jaguar up to his retirement in 2003.
He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Production Engineers.
Born in Slough in 1943, Mike is married with two children and lives in Balsall Common, England. His hobbies include collecting antique cameras and model engineering.
He was awarded the CBE for his work with the Birmingham New Deal Task Force and other employment initiatives, in the 2002 New Year's Honours List.

Born in 1951, David has a long and successful career in accounts management, leadership and business consultancy.
He studied at London School of Economics from 1967 to 1970. In 1977 he Qualified as Chartered Accountant KPMG (formerly Thomson McLintock). He Seconded to Department of Trade & Industry to advise Government of inward investment and monitoring of Rolls Royce from 1977 to 1979.
David Brooks served as Chief Executive of Dura Mechanical Assemblies from 1999 to 2002 and from 1996 to 1999 was the finance director of Adwest Engineering plc
He served as Managing Partner of KPMG Thames Valley practice from 1993 to 1996 and served as Partner of KPMG from 1980 to 1996.
David now serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Magal Engineering Ltd. Prior to this he served as Chairman of MBO entities Adwest Engineering Ltd and Magal Engineering Limited since 2002.
Since 2002 he has held a consultancy role as Finance Director of Gissings Limited, pensions advisory / administration and employee benefits.

Steve has over 26 years’ experience with in a tier one automotive supplier base, Exterior / Interior Mirrors, Lighting, steering and Thermal control units.
Steve has full profit and loss responsibility for the Magal AWT facility reporting directly to the main Shareholders, directing and controlling the Company’s operations, giving strategic guidance and direction to the Management team to ensure that the Company achieves its mission and objectives. Working closely with our management team to insure that our customer demands are exceeded and that the correct skilled resource is available to deliver on our promises, but importantly, maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety to make Magal the choice for employment in our industry.

Prior to Davinder’s current role, he held senior positions within Quality and Process Engineering at Magal Group companies, also serving as Quality & Manufacturing Manager at Adwest Eng. Plc and Dura Automotive.
Davinder began his career with a British Leyland Cars subsidiary, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing and Program Management.
He has received his HND in Mechanical Engineering at De Montfort University in Leicestershire, whilst working as a BL Technician apprenticeship.
Responsible for the successful achievement of the objectives and the execution of strategy, Davinder is ultimately responsible for the company’s performance and Profit and Loss Account. He also heads up the Group’s “Centre of Excellence” for control cables and mechanical spare wheel winch assemblies.

Sridhar was born in 1962 and is a Mechanical Engineer, specialized in Automotive Engineering and a Post Graduate in Business Management. Joined in Western Thomson India, an Adwest Group Company in India in 1984 as Graduate Engineer and by 2005 was the Member of the Board of Western Thomson India. In 2009, joined XMOLD Polymers and was instrumental in turning around the Company. Since 2012, the CEO of Magal Engineering Private Limited in India and associated with the Company and Group during the growing phase of the company in India

Jean Maurice Schmidt
CEO and joint shareholder - Bowden
Jean Maurice heads up the business at Magal Bowden in France, additionally managing and owning 6 other companies for total sales of €60~65m including Bowden with a total of 500 employees.
Jean Maurice has a background in mechanical engineering.
He has worked for 22 years in the automotive industry, and before joining Bowden in 2005, worked as a General Manager in Johnson Controls.
He also heads up the Group’s “Centre of Excellence” for Mechanical Jacks and tool kits.

Graduate from a French Engineering High School, Jean Michel has 33 years experience in the Automotive Industry. His career commenced at Renault and then Tier 1 suppliers including Lebranchu, Sofedit, ThyssenKrupp and Sofedit.
Jean-Michel ensures the growth of the Company and its profitability through Customer satisfaction, managing the plants day to day activities including commercial and product development aspects.
Leading the workforce, ensuring they are well trained and operate in the best working conditions, collaborating as a team, as a result continuously improving all aspects of business implementing lean principles.
Contributing to the wider Magal Group of companies, each plant has a great level of autonomy and must operate to be financially self-sufficient.

Additionally, Andy is responsible for all marketing activities for the Magal Group, incorporating digital and presentation media, website, social media and creative customer engagement.

Over 35 years in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Mark came to his first automotive appointment with Magal AWT in 2010 leading to the Group role in 2015.
Prior to that working in different industries, namely: - Aerospace with Muirhead, Commercial Electronics with Panasonic Mobile Phones and Military Electronics with RACAL. Passed through Matsushita Management and Procurement training programmes to gain knowledge in Japanese management techniques as well as obtaining lean procurement tools.
Mark is responsible for overseeing the Purchasing activity throughout the Magal Group with particular attention to Compliance, Ethical standards and awarding business fairly. Deliver world class QCD performance in terms of supplier capability. Focusing on a supplier rationalisation programme to harness Group Purchasing power.
Mergers, Acquisitions, Treasury and Finance
Adrian is a Chartered Accountant from KPMG Manufacturing sector team, prior to moving into industry in 1996. Exposure of UK plc, US NASDAQ and SME owned businesses all within Automotive manufacturing.
Joined Magal in 2003 as a member of the executive team, responsible for financial accounting, tax planning and compliance, treasury and acquisitions. Adrian has 26 Year automotive industry experience including operational responsibilities in Europe and the US.

Rainer Juraschka was born in 1968 in Germany and joined Magal Engineering Ltd. in 2007 as Key Account Manager. In 2015 Rainer became our Europe, Middle East & Africa Sales Manager
Rainer has responsibility to manage and create growth from Magal customers, looking after a number of our key accounts plus identifying new opportunities across a number of regions.

Program and Sales Manager - Bowden
Didier started to work in automotive industry with MGI Coutier as a student in 1998.
During 13 years, he has worked on hinges, door stop and pedal boxes for PSA, Renault and Ford.
MGI Coutier provided an opportunity to restart school in parallel of his day to day job to obtain an engineer diploma in 2009.
In 2011, Didier moved to a large OEM, joining Valeo & U-shin where he was project manager on latches and opening mechanisms for PSA during 4,5 years and for the Tesla model X with its Falcon doors.
January 2015, he started to work in Bowden looking after the handbrake products as project and sales manager, working with OEM’s in Europe, Turkey and China.
Technical Director Thermo Management - Dauphinoise Thomson SAS
After a number of years in the aerospace industry for thermal, mechanical and vibration simulation, Florent joined DURA as project Manager in 2002 at Dauphinoise Thomson plant in Grenoble, France. He followed the Magal growth as successively R&D functional manager, R&D-Process manager at Dauphinoise and became in 2014 Group Technical Director for thermo management.
Florent is responsible for all technical aspect of the Group’s thermo management activity leading the development of Product Strategy, Innovation, Product and Process development and support.
